Growing old...

Growing old???? What exactly does that mean?
I have been pondering the reality of how are bodies/minds/emotions and all other aspects of our beings "grow old." Which in turn has brought me to believe that my husband NEVER WILL!!!
You see...i firmly believe the good LORD blesses us with all the potential/desire/determination and most of all...the mind set for that of which we are to do!
For all of you who know my dear, sweet, and mature husband...you know that his career (working with children) is simply what the LORD willed. Let's start from the beginning...
He was born and raised in the booming metropolis of Rogersville, AL. One younger sibling...one of which i understand was the corporate for all michael's punishments, and OBVIOUSLY no sisters. Poor...poor nancy!
The start of our marriage...well maybe i should say the start of our dating relationship...was all but of a dream. Before i continue I must re-iterate our dating relationship in the five segments that there was.
segment 1: Love at first sight...look out world for we will conquer all! For those who know what
I'm talking about...he truly was saved by the little "green men!"
segment 2: The boy says: well...you are a little young...and...ummm...I just need a break.
segment 3: The boys comes back to the girl...she gladly accepts...boy realizes ONCE again that...
well...i just don't know if this is what i want.
segment 4: The boy comes back again...the girl grudglingly accepts the offer...only to leave
the boy because he decides to go to MEMPHIS for reasons we will not discuss
in order to let a dead dog lay.
segment 5: The boy realizes that he COULD have made a different decision...but realizes that
the girl has accepted another offer! YIKES...then the boy slowly but surely
wins the girl back.

now lets carry on to my point, one of which really means nothing!
Michael, whom i love dearly, has never reached the point in his life when the light just CLICKS on...you know the one...the one that creates a realization that you are an ADULT! For example...You have concluded that you may have to budget or "prioritize" in order to pay the things that need to be paid!
Budget...some of you may ask..."what in the world is that?" For those of you who know ME...you know that i like everything planned! Planning is my favorite word...it is what i live by.
Michael on the other hand says..."i don't know!" This answer can truly drive an OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE batty!
YOU HAVE TO KNOW...you are 28 years of age...why wouldn't you know...why would you choose not to know?
Sure...after three years of marriage, almost, he has truly improved his money skills.
ALSO, how can somebody so brilliantly talented not understand the concept of "BALANCE!"
THE CHECK BOOK MUST BALANCE...AT ALL TIMES!!! DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT...come home and tell me you spent thirty...something dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to be continued.....
