Mindy and I just got back in town today around 5:30. There was just enough time for me to get to the church league basketball game at Temple Baptist. We lost by 10. Now about the weekend.
We got to mom's house about 2:00 in the morning on Saturday and slept til about 9:30 AM. Not enough sleep if you ask me but my mom and wife didn't ask me. Mindy painted mom's kitchen as mom and I came up with hundreds of excuses not to paint. All excuses were successful I might add. The day was pretty relaxed and we ate lunch and supper with family. Very nice. Saturday was very laid back for me, not so much for my painting wife. Sunday came and we worshipped with the Oliver congregation and then went to Huntsville. I bough the first 2 seasons of Arrested development, which is stinking hilarious. Came home and watched a few episodes after church at Rogersville. Saw a lot of old friends there which was great times. Home then for more AD and hanging out with mom. AND I got to tear out a wall bookcase. Lots of fun with the hammer had by mom and I.
Monday was the last day we were home and I finally got to add to the kitchen project. As Mindy touched up the paint, I put the carpentry skills (of lack of skills) to work and did a pretty fair job of finishing some trim. Then the road trip back to Little Rock. Lyle (our puppy) slept most of the way home. Home now and I can't sleep. Peace out from NLR.
