Hey hey,
This past weekend was a lot of fun. Josh and Joni had their second child. Josh didn't preach this week...so all worship. The welcome time was 2 of our shepherds briefly telling the church about our leadership structure and that we were about to ordain a new shepherd to help lead at Grace Crossing. It was good and I am excited about Jeff stepping into that role. We then began our long worship set. During the 9 songs, people took communion at tables set up in the back as the Spirit led them. We encouraged them to take communion with friends and family. We had a great day.
Here is the worship set...
Our Great God – A
Welcome
The heart of Worship - D
Praise the Father, Praise the Son - C
As the deer - C
Famous One - E
I sing Your praises – E
I will rise – G
Breathing the Breathe – D
Hosanna – D
Love Lifted Me – G
Your Grace is Enough – G
And some notes about a couple of songs...
As the deer - Jon arranged this and did a great job, we had different vocalist sing each verse and a chorus, then moved into the chorus of You are God alone...very powerful
I sing Your praises - This is an arrangement of I need Thee every hour and Purer in Heart with an original chorus thrown in to bridge between verses/chorus and each song
Hosanna - Andrew Peterson song...Grace Crossing really responds to this...check it out if you haven't heard it
This post is a part of Fred's Sunday setlist

Sounds like a great time. We have the freedom to prolong worship anytime. It's very freeing. Our fellowship has communion set up throughout the service, so people can go anytime during the praise and worship to partake. We've done that for years now.
Andrew Peterson is one of my favorite lyricists. I need to plug in his Hosanna.
Communion throughout the service seems interesting. We generally have a short devo before each element...do you somehow intro the time or talk about it somehow? I may suggest that to our pastor - to mix things up...just curious on the logistics. (Michael or Windbag?)
