Home again, home again

We just got back to The Rock. Spent the weekend in Nashville, TN at a leadership convention. We took about 25 kids and 25 adults to the Opryland Hotel. That place has got the skills to pay the bills for sure. The kiddos sang, spoke, Bible bowled, ate, slept, pillow fought, and all other sorts of stuff that kids do. It was a great time had by all involved. I got to walk around and see all the talents on display, snuck over to Bass Pro and Opry Mills. Saw my freshman year suitemate in the Mall. Saw lots of folks from my childhood and high school days. Saw lots of people I’d never met and still haven’t met. Saw my mom (the best of all the things that I saw that I don’t see on a regular basis). Heard one of the 5-year olds rip one in church on Sunday morning which was quite possibly the funniest thing that I have witnessed in a while. My buddy Ben accompanied me on this journey and we ate a big fat daddy breakfast buffet. Got some musical culture from the ladies in the van and lost cool points along the way. Realized that God works in mysterious ways and usually not the way that I think…

Those are the highlights of my trip in no particular order, peace, michael
